Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information UrBal keeps, why, and who can see it. UrBal is run by Trinity Tax Group INC. The short version: we use your information only to run UrBal for you. We don't sell it, we don't show you ads, and we don't share it for anyone's marketing.
What we keep
- Your account: your name, email address and password. We store the password scrambled (hashed), so no one can read it, including us.
- Your books: your business details and everything you enter or bring in, such as transactions, invoices, customers and vendors, receipt photos, mileage and equipment.
- Bank information: when you connect a bank, account names, the last digits of account numbers, balances, transactions and statements. We never see or store your bank password.
- Payments: if you turn on online payments, your Stripe key, stored encrypted. Your customers' card and bank details go to Stripe, not to us.
- Sign-in records: a cookie that keeps you signed in, and a record of changes made in your books, so you can see who changed what.
How we use it
Only to run UrBal: to keep your books, connect your bank, send the emails you ask for, keep your account secure, and help you when you ask for support. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Who can see it
- You, and the people you invite to a business, such as your tax professional. You choose their access and can remove them in Settings.
- People at UrBal, only when needed to help you, fix a problem or keep the service safe.
- The companies below, only for the job listed, each under its own privacy terms.
- Anyone the law requires us to share it with, such as under a court order. Where the law allows, we tell you first.

How we protect it
- Every connection to UrBal is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Bank connections, Stripe keys and tax ID numbers are stored encrypted.
- Two-step sign-in is available on every account, and an account locks for 15 minutes after five wrong passwords in a row.
- Each business's books are kept separate. Only the people invited to a business can open it.
How long we keep it
We keep your books while your account is open. When you delete a business in Settings, its books are deleted and its banks are disconnected. Copies in our database provider's backups are removed as those backups expire.
Your choices
- Download a full export of a business's books from Settings at any time.
- Disconnect a bank, remove someone you invited, or delete a business in Settings.
- To change your name or email, or to close your account entirely, contact us.
Children
UrBal is for adults running a business. It isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and tell you in UrBal or by email before the changes take effect. See also our Terms of Service.
