UrBal

Terms of Service

Last updated October 21, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Trinity Tax Group INC, doing business as UrBal ("UrBal," "we"). By creating an account or using UrBal, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. What UrBal is

UrBal is online bookkeeping for small businesses. It keeps your books: bank transactions, invoices, expenses, receipts, mileage, vehicles and equipment, reports and tax figures.

2. Price

UrBal is free while we test it with our first businesses. If we start charging, we will tell you at least 30 days ahead, and you can download your books before then.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and give us your real name and an email address you use.
  • Keep your password to yourself. We recommend turning on two-step sign-in in your account settings.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your books.
  • Tell us right away if you think someone else has signed in to your account.

4. Your books belong to you

Everything you put in UrBal is yours. You can download a full export of a business's books at any time from Settings. You can also permanently delete a business there, which removes its books and disconnects its banks.

5. Your tax professional

You can invite a tax professional or bookkeeper to your books. They see the business you invite them to, with the access you choose, until you remove them in Settings. What they do with that access is between you and them.

6. Bank connections

When you connect a bank, the connection is made through Plaid, and you agree to Plaid's terms and privacy policy at that step. UrBal reads your account names, balances, transactions and statements. It cannot move money. You can disconnect a bank at any time.

7. Not tax, legal or financial advice

UrBal is software. Its reports, categories, Schedule C lines, estimated taxes and due dates help you keep track, but they are not advice. Check them, or have your tax professional check them, before you file or make decisions. You are responsible for your tax returns.

8. Using UrBal fairly

  • Use UrBal only for your own business, or for a business that has asked you to help with its books.
  • Don't use it for anything illegal, to send unwanted messages, or to try to get into other people's books.
  • Don't try to break, overload or copy the service.

We may pause or close an account that breaks these rules. Except in an emergency, we will tell you first.

9. Availability

We work to keep UrBal running and your data backed up, but we can't promise it will never be down or never lose data. Download an export now and then to keep your own copy.

10. Limits on our responsibility

UrBal is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or lost-profit damages, or for tax penalties or interest. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.

11. Stopping

You can stop using UrBal at any time. If we ever close UrBal, we will give you at least 30 days to download your books first.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and tell you in UrBal or by email before the changes take effect. If you keep using UrBal after that, the new terms apply.

13. Law and courts

Louisiana law applies to these terms. Any dispute goes to the courts of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana.
